Fat dissolving injections offer a fast, safe, non-surgical fat reduction solution designed to treat stubborn pockets of fat. The active ingredient is deoxycholic acid and it is the strongest form currently seen on the market. The injection breaks down fat cells and the fat is then absorbed by the lymphatic system.
There is a huge evidence base to support this technique and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of deoxycholic acid, acting as a detergent, to break down fat cells.
On average 2-4 vials are needed per area per session with a maximum of 6. Treatments are 6 weeks apart and you may need up to 3 -4 sessions depending on the extent of the problem.
